Welcome once again to another issue of ‘The Otorhinolaryngologist’. We continue to put together a mix of review articles across the breadth of ENT such that the journal appeals to all of our specialist and general ENT practices. I do hope that you enjoy reading the variety of articles in the journal that Sanjai and I spend time over choosing and coordinating.

It always seems like a lot of hard work, with the help of course of our section editors, who do this work completely aside from their NHS commitments. In a time when it seems there is only trepidation within the NHS, as Doctors we seem to strive on, delivering a first class service as well as doing other things in addition. I am sure we should continue to do so, as it is one of the core reasons, we are considered professionals.

I reemphasise the need for encouragement from the ENT surgeons in pressing their juniors to write and submit to the journal. The reason that we continue to do well and offer the variety is because of your input as well as ours and we are always happy to hear directly from you about any improvements. We continue to strive towards excellence in education and CPD and will shortly be producing a more user friendly website to help with both of these aspects. In addition we are currently coordinating an educational day for later in the year. The journal is gaining momentum and we are grateful for your support currently and in the future.
